Blog4 November 2009 Its official - our favourite product has arrived Hotfoot from Denmark our new favourite product has arrived - an amazing candle house. I hung it up in the shop today and lit the candles and was rewarded with lots of "oohs" and "ahhs". This tall elegant zinc candle house looks really magical when the candles are lit and would be great indoors or out. Have a look yourself in Christmas under Decorations. Its the second product. I think we are definitely going to have to get one to hang outside the croft house to welcome guests at Christmas and of course for the seemingly endless and always wild Hogmanay celebrations. On the other hand I might put it on the mantlepiece and light the candles every evening in the run up to Christmas....An amazing full moon here tonight reflecting off a glassy flat sea, its so bright its like daytime. 2 November 2009 The westerly gales are blowing across the Croft today, darkening the skies and whipping up the waves. Luckliy I am working away at home in the kitchen with the raeburn lit, taking pictures of glorious aromatic wreaths and garlands made from dried oranges, limes and bayleaves. They fill the whole room with their citrussy bay fragrance and make it feel quite festive. You can have a look at them on the website - Christmas - Wreaths and Garlands. Which also reminds me that Country Living Fair in Scotland is just weeks away. Do come along and see us there on stand A5 if you can, we will have lots of really lovely decorations and beautiful gifts. Its a real opportunity to immerse yourself in Christmas.
